Pics of said vehicles pronto!!!!!!

Both need a good detail. And the Sierra I am still working on a little. The Equinox is ashen gray metallic and all I did to that is black out the bowties.

Also this is one of the reasons I back out of the Meet in Chicago for the BB tune.

Serge had some 4300k HID bulbs for sale not too long ago and I had some HID Ballasts in the closet so I figured I'd stick em in my reverse lights in the Avalanche. All you need is some double sided 3M tape, two HID Bulbs, two HID ballasts, some high temp silicone, and some electrical tape. Here's how to do it in 5 extremely easy steps:

1) Take out reverse bulb and cut the two wires with the female plug attached to it (it will be replaced with the black and red wires going to the HID ballasts).

2) Take the black and red cable that attaches to the ballasts for power and cut them off along with the male plug.

3) Strip down the 4 wires that are now cut and splice them together (either with electrical tape or solder it): black goes with black (ground/negative) and the red goes with the other loose connection (mine was white, but I am running an aftermarket LED tail).

4) Trim tail socket to fit HID bulbs (I had H11's which does not without modification FYI) and seal the surroundings with high temp. silicone.

5) Clean off the ballasts and the spot where you will tape them down at. I did mine right on the inside of the truck bed. Put double sided tape on the ballasts and tape it to a spot where you know won't be too tight of a fit to where the tail lights will not get in the way.

Thanks Jason. Yea I had an 8000k kid I bought for my reverse lights when I had the 08 white tahoe. I never put em back in because I thought it was too blue. The older I get the less color I want in any lights lol.. I used to like a lot of blue, then a little blue, now I just want a pure white. The 4300k looks 10x better then my 8000k :imo:

It looked great on my tahoe's rear cam when I had that vehicle. I have a rear cam in the avy but it quit working a few weeks ago but i'm sure it would look nice and bright and def help backing out of tight spots at night.

I just took the running boards off. Still looking for a workaround for valance as I can't just simply remove it and be done. My volant tips will be in soon so that'll definitely be my next mod. The magnaflow tip that I have on there now looks good but I really liked the Volant tips on my tahoe so I said F it and got another one.

Man that looks awesome!!!!! Especially with the back not sagging and the running boards off!!! Now DE-BADGE IT! Hahaha. I bet a body shop could trim that valance for you and wouldnt charge much. I think tapering the ends would look good. Can't wait to see the new tips!
