I have a few problems that are really starting to piss me off. The truck is a 1995 Tahoe with 191k on it. First, my truck hesitates upon acceleration. It bogs down when I accelerate for a couple of seconds then picks right back up. Second, when lightly touching the gas to maintain a speed, the trucks starts to jerk back and forth until more gas is given. Third, when I let off the gas, it kinda makes a bhaw bhwa bhwa sound about three or four times before it settles back down.

I have replaced all spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and TPS sensor with all AC Delco parts. I have also checked for vacuum leaks, which is a negative. The EGR valve operates like it should. All of this was done a couple months ago and has no more than 2k on it. I'm out of ideas. Coud it be fuel related? Anybody care to help me out before I blow money having a diagnostic test done at a shop?

Sounds fuel related to me. Start of by checking your fuel pressure. Hows the spray pattern on the injectors?

Does the TBI have a MAF? I thought only the Vortecs had those...

Thinking I will check the IAC and the fuel pressure. What's the pressure supoosed to be?

TBI has the MAP sensor. Vortec has MAF

Pressure should be around 9-13psi.

it's the fuel pump. check the pressure at the rail. mine did that a couple of weeks ago and it was fuel pump. change the fuel filter first.

Could it be the MAP sensor? I have read that it causes hesitation and fuel delivery problems.

Could also be the MAP, it adjusts the timing and fuel depending on vacuum conditions.

Are both your injectors spraying a nice cone?
