Seafoamed a couple months ago with less than impressive results. It hardly smoked, but helped with the hesitation problem a little. I'm going to check the injectors and fuel pressure. The more I think about it, it sounds fuel related. Hell, who knows how old the pump is.

I had the excact same problem until one day it turned off and was left stranded. Problem and solution "Change the Fuel Pump" and it will also run like a champ.

My truck had the same problems, especially the jerking motion. Then i replaced the fuel pump, filter, and sending unit and it still did it. So, beware .

Mine died on me the other day driving down the highway, threw code P09452 (EVAP emissions control system pressure sensor low). It started about 20 minutes later and drove about 10 more minutes and it died again, rolled into a parking lot put it in park. Got out all pissed off, got back in and it started again. Could hear it bogging down and the fuel pump sounded funny, then it died. A few minutes later (waiting for AAA) it started again, this time it ran fine. Still got it towed home though. This has been an ongoing event with my truck, its to the point where I'm one step closer to getting rid of it. One day its running great, the next day I get up to go to work and nothing. Jump it, leave it running, then it dies half a mile down the road. Its getting old and I'm getting frustrated.
OP, sounds like its been narrowed down to a fuel issue.
Any one have any idea what my problem could be?

Just make sure you bring a rubber mallet with you if you feel your pump is going bad. If your truck dies usually you can get it going again by slamming the piss out of the gas tank. Thats what i had to do.

Mine had an error code "P0420" fuel pump, so I replaced the pump and ran like a champ. This was a couple years ago.

Now I have a similar problem as in this post, She pulls a little when driving slightly uphill or between 3rd and 4th gear. Changed all Spark plugs, Wires, Cap and Rotor, Fuel filter, cleaned MAP sensor, and throtle body and still jerks. Any solutions anyone?

Well since we re-opened this thread a mere 6 months later, problem was solved. The truck decided to eat up a nearly new set of plug wires, so I redid those. Problem solved except for jerking. Checked the fuel pressure and it tested good. Also, the egr is good, did the test on that way back when. I have kind of gotten use to the hesitation and that stupid sound it makes when letting off the gas.
