Politics right now are dividing our country IMO. The current administration is purposely pitting one half against the other. My family has been split right down the middle, friends don’t talk to each other, etc. Social media has made it too easy to push ones opinions against the other. Unless everyone you know is in the same political party, it’s causing grief unlike anytime in my lifetime. I’ve never heard so much angst between the major political parties in my life, nor ever heard a president blaming the opposite party on a daily basis. I think it’s terrible right now, and also feel this is definitely the wrong place to discuss it. Politics has its place for discussion, this isn’t it. If this forum starts down that road, I won’t be here. It’s the reason I’m not on Facebook much anymore, I lost a lot of friends there due to politics in the last few years.

When 1/2 of the politics and the media behind them stop with the EVERYDAY accusations and name calling and open ended accusations with no proof behind them, then the man could do his job and have to stop defending himself at every turn. He would not get credit if he cured cancer. When people say he is dividing the country they just need to realize that the vast majority of the dividing is happening because he is actually enforcing the laws that are on the books and the rest don't like it because that threatens their attempt to let ANYONE in the country that they feel will vote for them. Crooked crooked crooked. You want to take this to another section of the forum where we can really air laundry out, then be prepared for some call out of facts instead of just someone taking it and holding their tongue. I can start in this state and work my way around the country. Check the homeless population centers and tell me who is in power in that city/state government. It is laughable.

No, the forum won’t filter you lol. You’d have to be pretty offensive to have that happen. There is something called an ignore list so you can still participate in all the threads but anyone you choose can be filtered out so you don’t see their posts. It’s kind of a peacekeeper tool. Kinda neat. So are you saying you chose Oregon after checking out the rest of the country? (Changing the subject off politics lol). I moved a few places like Nevada and Idaho but always missed Oregon and always came back. Out of 60 years I’ve only lived out of the state for 2.

I checked out the whole country by having actually stepped in each state at different times of the years and absorbing the feel of each state as I grew up. I liked the PNW the best and told myself if I ever got the chance I would move here. Later in life I did. I like the state and the weather and the scenery but politics will be what drives me to another state. It's not just me either. Many are leaving and the ones that are coming love it to be taxed into oblivion and allow the state to give tax dollars away. Afterall, nothing spends better in big government than other people's money.

Mark, our country is going through a coup right now, one political party along with subversive communists are attempting the overthrow our nation's President and his cabinet, family, etc. The drama on tv is what draining the swamp, getting rid of corrupt politicians and their enablers, looks like. War is not pretty.

No patriot would have tolerated this had it happened to our last president. This is a battle over Liberty versus Tyranny. Every time Congress meets and passes a bill (law), our rights are chipped away at. There's sometimes an ebb and flow as we're experiencing now in the auto industry. No longer will California determine for the entire country in essence what kind of automobiles can be made and how. The Feds shouldn't be doing it either but at least one obstacle is out of the way and should bring down the cost of new vehicles someday.

There's a conflict of visions because people have fewer common values between them then ever before, diversity they call it. One group of people believes that our rights come from God and that the purpose of government is to secure those rights and that since they come from God, they are inalienable. This means they cannot be changed or taken away. This belief system is what our Constitution is founded upon.

There's another large group of people that reject the Constitution and believe that government, not God, is the highest authority and that the people exist to serve the government which is made up of select individuals who endeavor to control the lives of their subjects by granting and suspending rights. Liberty versus Tyranny.

Our family is split as well, just as it was in the 1860s. Mark, if you paid more attention to the President's opponents, you'd better understand why he is doing what he is doing. I say this as your friend, to exhort you to watch the other side so your view of what's going on is not so distorted.

it s a non flex-fuel engine. When I put fuel in I’m certain I used the E85 pump. It was a blue handle pump. I have called the gas station TWICE to verify that it was E85. But now after about 30-miles, the truck runs terrible and is throwing codes. Dealer said up to $1200 to remove the tank and flush everything out. Any other solution....?
I guess no good deed goes unpunished.....

ETA: it had about 5-gallons in the tank and I added about 10-gallons and burned through about 3-gallons. Should I just go fill it up from another station and see if it rectifies.....?

Fuel in the tank tests at 75% alcohol. So the blue handle pump is E85 at this station.

It all depends on where you are. In the OP's case, blue was for E85.

Mark, Dont drink the "koolaide". Trump isnt doing anything but raising the curtain on coruption and not being "politically correct" in his methods. It will be ok, If he is successful you and your family will have a chance at the AMERICAN DREAM! Also your statement of "i wont be here" is exactly spot on for the division, the only way you will hang with us is if we dont speak. Out of respect for this forum i will try to not post my American pride again, This forum and it's members is far to valuable.

Please let us not dip into politics on this forum. It’s one of the last few places where I don’t have to deal with the difference of opinions on it. I won’t push my beliefs on you, don’t push yours on me. I’m opting out of this thread because it’s gone to political ******** and if I see this in other threads I will unfortunately opt right out of this entire forum. Sorry but this isn’t the place.
