OK so I just checked the RPO codes. Limited slip (G80), 3.73 axle, power folding mirrors, HD trans cooler and weight distributing hitch. Should make an awesome tow vehicle, I'm stoked.

Also not a scratch on her that I can see. Actually looks much nicer than the 2007 4runner I sold to buy it.

Made in Janesville, WI according to the sticker.

Too darn cold to do much more than get these driveway pix. Supposed to be mid-50's this weekend though so I should be able to get some better pics and start setting her up. I'm stoked!

as far as onstar goes the answer is yes you have to have a subscription to use hands free calling. keep in mind that onstar uses cell towers for that so if your cell has no service neither does onstar, it's like paying for 2 cell phones.

The on star in my 06 works where no one else's cell phones or cell plan/provider works. The vehicle has a stronger antenna than the phones. I know that on the 06 you can step up to turn by turn navigation.

At this point I don't see a need for OnStar so I don't anticipate activating it. I did finally get the driver 1 and driver 2 seat positions programmed and figured out the homelink. Then came the project of fitting it into my garage.

It fits, but it's a tight squeeze (wife's 2010 CRV is in there, as are my two motorcycles and a crap-ton of junk.) But hey, it's in there!

Also made my first "mod": Husky floor liners, first and second row. They fit great and look nice. Will probably not get the 3rd row or cargo area as I don't anticipate needing it.

In fact, before camping season starts I'll remove the 3rd row entirely as I value the space more than the seating capacity. 2nd row will stay, though.

I did discover to my annoyance that it doesn't have the jack handle or lug wrench (the jack is there though.) Not a huge deal as I can order another one from Amazon but it's still a PITA.

Other things I'm going to need: Locking gas cap (why doesn't the fuel door lock?) and a way to listen to music from my iPod or phone.

One odd thing I'm finding is a lack of space for all the crap I carry with me. The 4runner had lots of little cubbies, pockets and such so even though the 'Burb is much bigger, I'm going to have to find more creative ways to store things.
