I didn’t expect the lifters to go on my 2008 suburban, but they did. I didn’t expect the lifters to go on my 2015 Tahoe, but they did. I don’t expect the lifters to go on my 2018 Tahoe….. to be continued….

Where are you getting these expectations from?

Past GM truck experience. They have lifter issues. GM just doesn’t admit to it.

I'm lost. If you were being sarcastic, I missed it.

Since we know they have lifter issues, it would be strange to expect otherwise. Especially after direct personal experience.
