its the springs honeslty.

keep the shock extender in and honestly san francisco street are really bad also and the tb rear springs ride better. even with the 1 inch lifting spacer in rear

Can you suggest what type of spring I should use model # etc. I also have some firestone helper bags<not installed yet. Should I use them also? Thanks.

Illegal Regal if you read my first post it says what I've used and what I got to work. Again the feedback I've received has been from Tahoe and Yukon owners. If you go back and read my post I said that what works on those doesn't work on Subs and XLs in my experience. I have 0 respect now for DJM because their kits ride like total shit and apparently no RD work would be needed to fix it. Just swap out the garbage coils they send out for TB springs.......why haven't they done thar yet if this is the end all be all? Why can't a company assemble a lowering kit that rides worth a damn instead of forcing us to piece one together?

its cool not everyone that posts buys but sold another pair last week to a suburban owner here and hes running the set up i recommened and says its 10x better than the djm tahoe 5 inch springs he has. He called me to order and not everyone posts on the sites just like on all the other sites I advertise on.

Why does djm send the a arms to me and I cnc cut them for the Trailblazers now??? its because i know the in and outs of trailblazers and just like trailblazers ive been doing these tahoes from late 99. Sorry about spring rates its just like how i dont release cam specs that i do for customers on their trucks. Sometimes companies like to keep info to themselves.

BTW DJM didnt know anything about the tb springs working until I did it and ive been doing it for years now. I talk to mike there daily and they kept the tb springs as my deal since im good friends with them and thats why I can only get the tb springs by themselves.

Funny this is the more you guys sit here and talk if you just took me up on my offer I could have sent you the springs by now to test out if you paid for shipping to you and back to me if you didnt like it. Its cool i see my offer to send the springs out to 1 person to test is not good enough so don't worry about it.

Keep trying to figure out whats allready been done. ive lowered more than my fair share of tahoes/suburbans over the years and I know what works and what doesnt and im trying to help you guys out like ive done many other times here with other people so I dont know what else to say.

I could take you up on that offer but I still don't know what I have. And honestly I don't believe djm knows any specs on their springs since when I called the guy said that's the first anyone has asked. To me it's principles, you want me to buy but can't divulge any info and pay $200 plus shipping on a set of $85 springs. Not to mention if they're powdercoated the oven temps will most likely change the rate of the spring steel.

Btw, I know cam specs on my motors and would never accept one without knowing every spec on the motor. That's the first I've heard of keeping that from a customer.

thats ok thats how Ive done it for years and look at my trailblazer ss runs 11s stock motor with a 50 shot at 5100 lbs.

Like i said before shipping to you and back to me would be $45 bucks which is a lot less $$$ than the time you've been spending on going thru all this other leg work when its not needed.


Good luck to whatever you find out ive since i did all this testing over about 8 years ago with the tb springs came out in the first place and i swappted them with the djm 5 inch springs/ the belltech springs/ and the mcgaughys and the tb springs ride better. Proven time and time again with my sales to customers here and if they didnt like the ride they would have complained by now.

hello every one, i joined just to post in this thread, sorry if its a long post but i need help as my 01 suburban rides like ass.

i have jdm rear springs, i think they are the 3" lowering springs. i bought just the springs, i think they came with some straps to keep the coils in place in case of dropping the rear. well i have a detailing business and also tow my wifes horse trailer(dont ask me the weight and all that, i have no idea).

i bought some airlift helper bags and they work great, when i have the trailer on or a full load of passengers. if the suburban is empty it seems to rider higher than when i didnt have the helper bags. could the helper bags be lifting the truck, even with out air? or should i go back and re check my install? i bought the kit at 4xparts and the guy there said being lowered wouldnt matter?? does any one have a kit PN so i can check against what i have?

norcalss if you want to trade my jdm springs for some jdm tbss spring i'll pay shipping tonight lol. but i dont have any other parts, what do i need? i do have hotchkis lowered sway bars and links. do i need anything to keep the truck from bottoming out with out helper bags? i cut my snubbers as per jdm but i dont have trailing arm re-locaters nor shock re-locaters. i have shorter shocks also.

i was thinking of just going full air ride, but i dont know who makes a good bolt in braket for my suburban? any suggestions? i would be ok with just getting the bags with no compressor right now as the truck rides so crappy
