I have an issue that is getting worse, and I'm stumped (as are my friends) as to what the issue is. My Yukon fishtails over bumps on the highway, really bad. And it only exhibits itself at higher speeds (60 and above) in a straight line. In a turn it won't fishtail at all, and its only on the bigger bumps that gets the whole suspension moving.

Anyone have any idea what this might be? It's disconcerting and I've tried to ignore it because I'm doing a sas soon but it won't have that, I must pay attention to it and put a little money in a wore out turd before I scrap it.

Suspension does not bounce at all. I can get my full 280 lbs bouncing that thing like crazy on the bumper and one rebound is all it will do.

All the shocks are tight with no leaks, all bushings and nuts and bolts are tight, no play in any of the steering components, balljoints are tight, nothing seems wrong, other than maybe some play in the steering box. A detailed inspection by a shop revealed nothing even with a micrometer. It's a mystery.

I would check your rear suspension bushings paying close attention to your panhard bar.

take a look at the toe in on the front alignment. you don't mention if 2wd or 4wd. make sure the toe doesn't change significantly with suspension compressed. Could have something bent in steering linkage.
