I tried to do a search on mirrors, but I could not find any topic that seemed related to what I am trying to achieve.

I wish to replace my manual side mirrors with electrical mirrors from a newer model, preferably with turning indicators in it.

Anyone done this?

All help is appreciated!

I have never done this, but I want to. There was a guy over on GMFS that did it with the power folding signal mirrors. Not still sure exactly how the hell he did it, but he wired it up to a power mirror fold button from a 2002 Escalade, since those had the power fold option. That switch goes in the dash where a 4wd switch would normally go on a 4wd truck.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

if you figure out a way, please let me know. mine is a '02 and I live in a hill side home with a one-way street and i always have to get out of my car and manually fold the mirrors... this would be a bad-ass fix for my lil issue.. haha

I've been looking around on the internet and no luck yet, and the mirrors themselves seems to cost a small fortune.

I'll keep on looking for a solution. Hopefully something not too expensive turns up :)

If you buy new, it's gonna cost an arm and a leg. Maybe you can get lucky at a salvage/ junk yard or even craigslist.

talking power fold or power adjustment? i wouldnt have thought they would have built one with total manual mirrors...the power fold would be neat to add though....not neat enough to make me go through all the headache.

Yeah, its the power fold and turning light indicator I am after, its a choir having to get out of the truck every time I need to enter a parking house.

Norwegian parking houses where not built for real trucks :)
