The roof is finally done and I mounted the Esky rack today as well. I broke the roof project up over the last week due to the heat, work and family/kids needs. I tried not to kill myself this time and do it all at once.

I hit it first with 3M Perfect It Rubbing Compound, then Meguiars Ultimate Compound and finally coated it with the Triniva Gold, which I left on overnight just because.

I think the roof turned out pretty good compared to before I started. Pictures never do it justice and don’t catch that angle to see how much attention it needed up there.

The flats are easy, but I tried to really focus on those fins and the creases where it is tough to get the DA in.

The Tahoe needs a good wash and to see it in the sun to determine if my work paid off with the end caps and the roof fins.

This is what I used for the end caps. I have used their adhesion promoter and primer as well, but had this other primer on hand.

Prep work and not rushing the coats is always the key as you know. Just for an added .02.
