Got up early today to wash the Tahoe and do some detail work before the kids woke up and the heat started cranking. Still hovering around 90F every day and humid. Middle of the day is a no go if I don't have to.
Gave the hood a second coat of Trinova. Quick wipe down in the engine compartment and used some Meguiars Ultimate Compound to hit the underside of the hood around the heat pad and the top rails of the fenders where the water spots always like to stay.
Polished the wheel center caps.
Pretty happy with the paint detail. The roof turned out pretty good. The inner radius of the roof fins still need a bit of love to make them better, but there is always time for that spot that nobody can see directly.
The end caps look pretty good too.

Yes and I have tried loosening the bolts and jacking it up as far and tight as I can. No change. Bugs me, but I just accept it as part of the character of a 12 year old SUV that isn’t perfect.
For every NBS you see there will be some with no gap and some with a bit more gap.
I think it is also a result of a small tap on the bumper when I got it.
I replaced both the front and rear bumpers as they both had small creases. I got them from a junkyard donor 2002 Suburban. It was a lucky day as they were in great condition before I color matched them.
