Time for pics and that build thread. Like my twin with a few differences that only TYF would notice. lol

I do have this set of 20" matte black LTZs on Bridgestone Dueler Alenzas with 5K on the set just sitting in my shed since I upgraded to the TBSS 24s. Probably wouldn't really do your ride justice, but they are up for sale.

Taken quite a few mods ago....lol

One of my favorite pictures. Something about the lighting that morning and an untouched iPhone picture.

That is really saying something.... iPhones have the worst cameras imaginable.

Every time My brother sends me a pic from his I think that he smeared a thin layer of vasoline over the lens.... lol

25,400 miles.

I gave her a quick wash tonight as I was rushing to finish before sunset. I swear that every time I decide to get near one of trucks, to wash it, detail it or tinker around with them, every single family member wants to come talk to me, needs something or my neighbors want to stop and say hello. My wife came out no less than 5 times and tried to talk to me about something until I politely chased her away. Thankfully she did not get mad at me or ask about the MIT. Then my son popped up and said he wanted to see the pistons in the engine. Seriously!!

Part of the rush was that I also installed the AIRAID 200-996 MIT that I got from @08HoeCD. Big handshake to that guy for hooking me up. I really appreciate it. Thank you sir.:thumbsup:

It took me a bit longer to install than it should have, because of the above interruptions and slight fitment issues that I encountered. I was not actually sure how to remove the breather hose from the valve cover. It looked like it should have just pulled off, but had I tried to just muscle it, I would have broken the nipple off the valve cover. There is a spring clip that you have to slide over from left to right to release it off the nipple. Then it just pulls off easily. Perhaps older NNBS trucks did not originally have the little spring clip and it is not really mentioned in the AIRAID instruction guide either.

The the actual MIT tube fits right on top of the radiator hose like the OEM tube does as well, but seems a bit higher and I could not get the retaining ring barb to push back into the MIT, like it does in the OEM tube. This all may be operator error in my haste to complete before sundown, but the 4 hose clamps are tight, there were no error codes and it was still attached when I got back home after a trial run and had a look. I'll check it again in a day or two to see if anything has shifted.

I took the truck for a quick spin after the MIT was installed, but need some more passes to get a better feel. I could definitely hear it kick in around 4000RPM and up past 5000RPM. It had a deeper, throaty sound to it. My wife may not ever punch it that hard or notice it either, so the Suburban is still a sleeper with the few mods I have done to it. I still want that Black Bear tune at some point.

OEM tube.

Looks great, and glad that you got it dialed-in. Sorry to hear of any difficulties with the install---it went in like butter on my '08.

Enjoy it in good health!
