Thx for all the input and good discussion regarding batteries.

I went with a Champion H6-760 AGM battery from Pep Boys.

25% off the battery ($47.50 discount) a $100 gift card that was set aside for truck parts and out the door for $53.37 with a 4 year warranty.

Dropped it back in the tray, had the cables all cleaned and ready to clamp on. Threw on a fresh set of battery post felt pads and added some Super Lube Dielectric Grease for good measure since we had some in the tool box.

Job done and the wife's DD is back in business.

While I had the fender brace off to replace the battery, I gave it a sand and fresh coat of paint. I also drilled a drain hole at the bottom of the brace (my NBS has 2 drain holes pre-drilled in the fender brace), so that the water can drain out and not sit there and rust out the brace like you see in the first picture.

What happened with the 42 month free replacement warranty on the other battery?

I spoke to my mechanic friend. We determined it was likely OEM from 2013 and trying to chase down and hope that someone would take it in on warranty without any proof of purchase, etc...

I just went the quickest route to get it back up and running for the wife.

Yeah, not worth it. 5 years in Florida's heat, not bad!
