i painted the back bumper, inside the fenders, frame A arms, the bottom six inches of the body inside and out. and it was less than 2 cans.i gave it 2 coats, but i also bought the bigger cans.
I used that Duplicolor sound deadener rubberized undercoating. That shit went fast. Used two cans on the frame, rear end and skid plate and didn't have enough to touch up the small spots so I have to get a third can tomorrow. It made a huge difference though. It's a textured finish and I think it looks awesome. Here's a before and after picture.
The before picture is old and changes have been made since then. The chrome rocker panels are long gone, thank god.
I was going to recommend POR15 also. I'm going to have to use it on my 72K5 once I replace the floor pans and rockers and will use it on the frame on my tahoe soon as well.
^ Hey man you're from SA if I'm not mistaken. Where did you get the por 15? I couldn't find it anywhere. I might have to give it a shot if the stuff I used doesn't hold up.
well its spring again so i have the denali out.i realised while re-reading this thread i never did post a pic of the 95GT before/after..but i will take some pics this weekend when i do the denali.just got a wheel alinment so ill put the summer rims on too after.it bugged me all last year how my drums and frame had rust showing and alot of silver showing in the wheel wells.should be a huge improvement.also got a drivers side mirror to install, smoked tail lights instead of the clear, and a new headlight switch.i will post pics! lol.
