Crack by the pass airbag and on the hump for me as well. 07 w/ 54k miles, had the airbag crack when I bought it, then the hump over the cluster cracked a few weeks later. Its not a safety issue, so it probably won't ever be a recall item. Still sucks, and I'd like to get the $250 offer to fix from my dealership.

Cracked dash

I have a 2007 yukon with 97000. The dash is cracked on the left hand upper side of the passengers side air bag. It's been cracked for a while and didn't really think it was important until I wanted to trade it in and the dealer wanted to deduct 1400. I called GM after reading all complaints on Internet. The person I talked to said they knew it was a problem in the southern states and would see what she could do- well a week later i was told since my 36000 mile warranty had expired that no help but would give me a 1500 credit for the purchase of a new car. I let her know I was not very happy. Btw- the credit could not be used on a gm certified used car. I asked if I could appeal and she said no. Any ideas?? I did ask about the 250 offer and she said it was on a case by case basis- I did let her know the person I read about had more miles than I did.

I think it all has to do if the dealership is willing to help. Well with that said HALL GMC in Tyler would not help!! I know the rep from GM had to call them a number of times. Very disappointing. I think I will find another dealership and see if outcome is different. If so I will post.

Hey gm customer service.......Marissa.....Laura...... Why don't you guys have anything to say on this topic. These guys trucks have minimal miles, what is the root cause problem here. What can gm offer to get it right?

I have a crack too by the hump. Starting to rattle. It's annoying. When I get it back I'm going to open a claim and see what they say.

Yup, I think I will do the same. I may have a 2008, but it only has 32,000 miles on it, so maybe I will get some help? We'll see......

Yes sir, that would be my thread. I figure what do I have to lose, at worst they end up doing nothing for me and I am sad. At best they stand behind a known defect and I'm happy.....we'll see.

08 Yukon 84k with cracked dash @ passenger air bag. Called GM, they had me drive to nearest GM dealer(chevy) to speak with service dept. Dealer replaced it with $100 "deductible", didn't have to wait on call from GM for approval.

Monday Chevy, Houston, TX.
