Hey everyone,
My 99 Yukon SLT 4x4 needs some front end work. I am looking at doing it myself in a rented bay with a full lift. Currently I think it needs ball joints, shocks, and maybe a half-shaft.
I've never worked on a front end. Just brakes and engines. So this is new to me. I am also interested in upgrades or improvements. Such as leveling, or a lift kit/suspension.
I hear MOOG is the way to go for ball joints. I am also aware that Ebay has "front end kits" for sale. Also, there's no other package deal out there, I found out you just buy all the parts from the auto parts store.
Does anyone know of a good book or PDF or intro to front ends? Its worth a shot. It just seems like a bunch of important parts crammed in there all working together. I don't want to miss something important or do anything wrong. I also don't want to pay a shop to do this for me, and I want to learn how to do this myself...
Thanks
