If you switch to the truck or suburban bars they are longer. Pic shows how much they will stick out of the control arm. If it weren't for the fuel lines in the way on the drivers side it would be easy to drill out the rivets for the mounts and slide them back an 1" or so.

Matt - did you notice if the bars were thicker then stock?

Also, b/c they are longer, are the bends within the bars throwing off the geometry of the truck? Or possibly the angles are the same?

I have heard that ford keys do work in the OBS truck....Again I do not know for a fact. GMFS had a nice sticky about cranking keys and parts required. It is listed in the Offroad forum

The actual bar diameter is bigger but the hex ends are the same. This is just with the 4 doors-we got the goofy steup for some reason. That pic is from here http://www.off-road.com/trucks-4x4/project/project321.html

last I heard Rough country quit selling those and just include keys now with there 2-3" kits

They'll work but if your bars are worn like mine in 6 months or so they start sagging again. I'm down to like 5 or 6 threads on the bolts when it was first lifted they barely had any preload on the stock keys. It's been mentioned that some of the fullsize Dodge trucks had torsion bars and they are close to being the right length but I haven't been able to find any measurements online or any to measure locally. I know ours are 52", it would be nice not to have move anything if Dodge used them in some 3/4 ton trucks and they were the correct length.

Pat - I just looked in your photo book and your truck looks AWESOME!

How much lift? Which size rims/tires did you go with?
