Front pillar tweetera

So does anyone know the size of the tweeters in the front left and right pillars, the ones with the bose logo. I have a 2009 yukon xl 1500. Would 20mm tweeters fit in it? I ordered some and those are the smallest I could find besides oem and I want to upgrade. I can't find the specs anywhere.

Did you pull the cover off the pillar tweeter in your Yukon? That would be the best way to confirm measurements.

Or just pop off the driver's side A-pillar plastic. The passenger side has a bolt under a cover on one of the grab handle ends, so not as easily removable as driver's side.

Just figured someone would know the size of the speaker. I work a lot so don't have much time to check it out. Wanted to get it ordered and here before my day off

It doesn't look like it.

I actually had a set of pillars near me that I bought off of ebay. They had Alpine tweeters in it. They fit snug in the factory location. but would still put some ca glue to make sure they dont come out.

I replaced the factory tweeters in the front pillars with a set of 1" units. With the housing, it was a very tight fit and used a bit of glue to make them stay put.

I currently have alpine type r tweets which are 1". I did try some ds18 TW120B and though they will fit on the plastic pillar side, they are too deep. I used heavy duty velcro to keep the alpines on the a pillar
