I believe you only need the 35mm nut if you have a 4WD. 2WD should only require a normal size socket for the three or four bolts holding it to the steering knuckle.

If you are going MOOG, check the warranty. IIRC, the ball joints come with a lifetime warranty. If they are part of the upper control arm, as a unit, the warranty is only 1 year or 3 years.
Well its been a while since my last post. I was able to replace all my front suspension parts and hubs. The truck has improved dramatically in the ride. I still feel sometimes when turning the wheel to the right when backing up a "CLUNK" coming from the drivers side front suspension. I have re-checked all my work and had it double checked and everything is tight. Cant figure it out. Is someone ever experienced this noise before? All input is very appreciated.
Did you make sure you don't have a failing/failed motor mount or trans mount. That can cause your noise, also.

Wow this forum is amazing, In just a few hours I have a response to my question. First off raidderon thank you for your input. I will look into that. I think clandr1 came up with my possible fix-it-problem. J have been having problems with this part but forgot to mention it. One day pulling into the parking lot at work my steering wheel turn freely but the wheel werent turning. Lucky for me the guys next door at the repair shop tighten down or put a new bolt on that part which is the intermediate shaft. Once again thank you for supporting this forum and its members. Keep you posted once I change the part.

Was having noise issues such as you describe on my 03 and while doing a bumper adjustment ( had front bumper and grill off) i started checking random bolt tightness on the front end and discovered a loose body mount on the front left corner by the windshield washer tank .... Thightened said bolt and reassembled front end and that made a big difference

I'm down here in Miami FL. Anyone know of a good shop that will do this work? I have an 02 Tahoe that needs this work done.
Also, If I have to order the parts, what's a good kit to get?
