Ok, so I'm not sure what to do here. I'm a student at college up north in the freezing ass cold. I brought my truck back to school with me but had no use for it for about two weeks. It wont start, dead battery, no big deal cuz i have jumper cables. WELL my hood latch is frozen. I can't move it anywhere warm because the truck is dead, i can't have it pulled out since it's in a parking lot, i've attempted to put de-icer on the latch but to no avail and i was wondering if anyone had any bright ideas as to what i should do to open the hood.. I probably sound straight dumb but.. oh well, i need my truck back lol

well the latch inside will not pull. It's a cheap ****** plastic handle that i've already pulled hard enough to the point where i swore it would break and it will not budge. i have also spent the last 20 minutes pounding on the hood in various places and using the de-icer on the perimeter of the hood. the latch itself will move so that's at least a step in the right direction.

Anyone know if anyone makes a hood latch thats metal? Mighn broke off ages ago and I wouldn't replace it its a piece of junk. If nothing else works Rip the damn latch off and just pull the wire.
