I was positive it's 30 gallons but now I'm not so sure. Today I ran it all the way down to the empty line. When I went to fill it up it only took 24 gallons. It's a 99 four door 4x4.

Exact number is 29.5 U.S. Gallons. I never really let her get below 4-5 gallons so I can never get more than 25ish gallons in, except once when I ran her out of gas... haha.

I've heard if your gauge is on "E" you still have about 4 - 5 gallons. If your engine dies, you still have about 1 gallon that the fuel pump cant reach. Sounds right to me, don't know if its factual or not..........

Doesn't Matter
I don't get a fuel level reading under half a tank. Heading home from Glamis, once. I knew I had used a good bit of gas tugging two wheel drives out of the sand. But en route to the nearest gas station, I was sweating because I wasn't sure how far I was gonna go. Finally, a gas station, my ******* was puckered up all the way to the pump. It took 28 1/2 gallons. And then my wallet wouldn't talk to me the rest of the week.

Our fuel gauges are a "good guess" at best. Crazy things read all over, like it's a game show! For city driving, I know that at around 325 miles on the trip meter it means I'm going to surrender about $70.00 at the gas station.
