after a trip up the mountains, i noticed my fuel level didnt move much. im now 150 miles on this tank, and it still fluctuates between 3/4 and full... i know its not the fuel gauge because i put the old gauge cluster in just to check and it did the same thing... what can i check from here?

I kinda figured that, is there any way to check it other than dropping the tank? its about 20 degrees outside right now, so i really cant be playing outside on the truck right now

There are lots of complaints about sporadic movement of the fuel guage. Supposedly the contact on the sending unit get a carbon build up or something like that. I heard Techron additive is good for this, but it didn't work for me. I kinda got used to it.

replaced the pump and sending unit, figured since im undercoating the truck itd be good to do above the fuel tank too... so, now were better, guess it was a faulty sending unit
