Okay im having a fuel issue with my truck my 03 tahoe cranks and runs fine but it bogs down when accelerating and pops threw the exhaust on accelerating past a quarter to half throttle. I just put a new fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and fuel filter on it. With the key on engine off im at 58 psi key on engine on it drops between 38-40 psi. I dropped the tank pulled the connectors off and put a new lock ring on the pump, after that it ran great no bog or popping, but a couple start ups later it started doing it again. I've replaced the maf, ect, plugs, wires, tps and air filter.

Ive read that on 99 to 03 tahoes have this sort of problem with the electrical connectors going to the fuel pump.
I'm wondering if the connector is shot would it keep the pump from working as hard as it should? Any help would be very much appreciated.

If the electrical plug to the fuel pump is burnt or corroded then you wouldnt get the full voltage to the pump. The fuel pump is a DC motor and a DC motors speed is proportional to the power it is fed. Translates to lower fuel pressure. Id check all wiring all the way back to the fuel pump relay and replace the fuel pump relay if you have never done it. The contact inside can get burnt and that will yield lower voltage to the pump too.
Throwing any codes?
