Fuel pump replacement

Hey guys I'm trying to replace my fuel pumpb9n my 02 Tahoe 5.3l flex fuel. I've dropped tank and all but I'm having an issue holding the new one in and trying to put lock ring back on. Has anyone else done this and if so how did you accomplish it? I need pointers please.

if theres a fat o ring under the pump, grease that o ring up and try again, firm push should seat the canister.

Thanks brosef! I stepped back...got the lock ring lined up right and was able to twist just enough to hold and get the ring turned and secured. I Appreciate the input!!
