Any of you guys use this oil drain valve on your truck? If you do, is it worth it? About to do an oil change and I am thinking about getting one.

I bought one for my 2001 Z71 and used it once before tossing it into the toolbox. The problem I had with it was the fact that the valve needed an adapter for the 2001. So once the adapter was screwed into the oil pan it reduced the diameter of the drain hole. Then, once you put the valve on, the drain hole ends up being about as big as a drinking straw. The oil dribbled out and took forever to drain.

If they changed the design and it doesn't require an adapter, I think I would give it another try.

edit....looks like you still need the adapter so I'll pass.

I am not sure why you would need this. Stick with the drain plug already in the pan. Simple and easy.

Well, it does make changing the oil super easy. However, it just didn't work as well as I thought it would.
