gas mileage

jus wonderin what ppl r gettin for gas mileage on 6.0. have an 02 denali, have cai and cat-back exhaust. on board computer shows 12.3

Interesting.... I figured a mostly stock 6.0 would get better mileage than that. That's roughly what I get on mine, but I'm running a supercharger and bigger cam, not to mention a set of heavy 24" wheels.

Sounds about right, our tcase eats up quite a bit of fuel but its worth it I usually sat around 12-13 stock but after efans, tune, intake, longtubes, and exhaust I generally get about 16-18 and 20 on the highway. Best thing you can do for mileage on these trucks is a set of 05+ efans (2+mpg) and a set of longtube headers. IIRC my injector duty cycle dropped a solid 10% after installing my AEM longtubes.

2000 5.3 stock- 12mpg, 14 on a good day, usually a mix of highway and city driving.

5.3 01 4wd yukon. Last tank got 12.3, that's the lowest it's been in a while and that was all city driving. I usually average 13.0-13.5 city driving on 22's.
