My Tahoe gets 12 around town after i replaced the Cats, before it was getting 10. But mine is just the 5.3. I have never really taken it on the highway to see what the Highway MPGs were

My Silverado SS gets 12-13 around town. It of course has the ** 6.0, and I have a tune, intake and exhaust. I get 16-17 on the highway.

Makes me miss my 01 5.3 Silverado. I was getting 17 around town and as high as 22 on the highway with a intake and tune

My 05 yukon gets right around 15.5 to 16 on a mix of city/highway.

I usually get a little better mpg on the highway but i`m usually doing 80-85 mph. If i slow down to 65-70 i get around 18-20.

I have a catback, cai and a blackbear 93 octane tune.

2001 Denali with 6.0L, stock. 14.0 mpg, 25% highway/ 75% city driving.

How difficult are e-fans to install and what is the cost? It'd give a mild performance boost (less load on engine) and should give a bit of milage. If I could get an extra 1mpg or so I'd be happy.

I've been thinking about a tune from Blackbear. I'm thinking a fuel economy tune, performance air filter, e-fans, and less WAO throttle moments should get me about 16.0 mpg in my driving. I don't think getting 2.0 mpg from those mods is too unrealistic. Has anybody tried those mods with any luck? Even if you have a 5.3L, it should still be a close enough comparison to give me an idea of what to expect.

I keep up with traffic, but rarely do more than 5 over unless on the freeway. At 18, the last thing my insurance needs is a ticket. Some tanks I get 11.0 mpg, and some I'll get up to about 15.2 mpg with my driving.

FWIW, my '02 Denali XL got 15.5-17.7 on the highway this past week. In the city is around 13.5-14.5.

At this time it is a bone stock LQ4.
