Picked up a 95 4 Dr 4x4 Tahoe that's lowered, exhaust ect.
It feels like the gas pedal is harder than normal to press down. I sprayed some pb blaster where pedal is mounted along with on cable where I cpuld. Didn't seem to help.
Any advice?

Remove at the throttle plate attachment and see if the plate moves freely, if not then there you are. If the linkages all move freely under the dash and under the hood then likely has a smash/kink at the cable or starting to unravel inside the cable housing.

Yes. It's anytime I push on the pedal it seems hard as if it is kind of sticky.
I grabbed the throttle where the cable attachés to on the tb. And it seems to move freely. The pedal it's sold moves freely as well. I am thinking I will just order a new cable. And see where that gets me

Well I started with the throttle cable as it was only $19.

The "sticky" seemed to go away. But it still feels hard to push. Not just from when I start to push it. At any time I want to accelerate it is just hard. The throttle opens smooth. And the cable is new. When I had the old cable off. The gas pedal sseemed to be find. But I'm thinking it does have something to do with the mount where the pedal is bolted down

From what you are saying I would have to agree. Try lubing the pedal linkage pivot points and look to see if has excess wear where the pedal parks when foot is off it. Would be kind of like a cam lobe that as the cam rotates toward the tallest portion it seems ok but after you go past half way at the tallest portion of the cam, it is very hard to go backwards at that point till again go past half way.

Yeah I tried spraying it with pb blaster before I ordered the new cable. Didn't seem to help. I will look at the mounting point. And take apart if need be to check it more thoroughly

PB Blaster is a penetrant and will initially lube but never last. Can use spray silicone lube or when you take apart use grease.

Well I went to the junk yard. Picked up a different pedal. $10!
I re routed the throttle cable. Sprayed silicone lube on pedal pivot points. And also sprayed it down the cable. Works much better now. Not sure if it was the pedal or if I just had the cable twisted ect.

Thanks for the help guys!
