Well, that belt life has been extended to 200K miles and 99% of Dmax owners won't keep them that long. I will save far more on fuel and not have the constant worry in the back of my mind if and when a lifter will implode, or an injector takes a dump while I'm on a 1500-mile trip with my family. I also don't have to worry about stations being out of fuel when the next hurricane comes along in SWFL. Unless you've lived it, you wouldn't understand it...Don't forget the penny per mile cost for the wet oil pump belt "service job" required at 150,000 miles on our Duromax SUV's that our gasser SUV's don't have
** GM says it's a 7 hour job plus parts and shop supplies, so I'd guess +/- $1500 at a GM dealer.
