i had the gauges on my '04 Tahoe go out gradually one at a time. Start acting nutty yhen not working at all. I came across a guy in MO named Fred Burges aka Dr. Speedometer. He totally rebuilds the cluster you send him and provides a lifetime warranty. I shipped him mine and got it back within a week. It works as if I just rolled off the showroom floor. I even went for the LED color upgrade ($45) and the cluster looks GREAT at night. If you look at his website www.drspeedometer.com it has his number. he answers the phone AND will give you advice on what could be wrong with your cluster. He really does great work, fast and professional. He has done thousands of repairs to the clusters so he knows his stuff. Give him a call with your issues.. It couldn't hurt and it's free!

Not sure what the "programming" is needed for with Dorman.. None of that had to be done with my rebuild. I absolutely love the job that was done. I'm going to try and get some pics one night and post them of the blue LED upgrade he did for me

It needs to be programmed to work with you vehicle, if you send in yours to be rebuilt it's already programmed, but these are already built in their warehouse and need programming for the vehicle they are being put in.
