thinking about swaping to a wilson of somesort. maybe the 1000 i dont know. id like to get better reception but i want to route the wire inside so you dont see it. im kinda annal about wiring now and dont want a black cable dangling all through the interior of my hoe. id get a lot better reception for sure being up there. if i can make my whip work better ill keep that and save money but right now its pretty sad lol

You know what, I'm looking to get a Wilson 1000, too. My little 3' antenna just started crapping out, and since I live by the ocean, the spring is getting rusted out, losing it's strength, and bending over, so the wires inside are all frayed and torn up. I'm going to trash it, but I'm going to replace with a longer stainless steel whip that I won't need a spring for. It's just something else to get in the way. The Wilson 1000, from what I've heard, is one of the best out there, and you can get it with three different mount styles. I think it has a 6' whip, too.
