Just finished installing mine. The can from catchcan.com is not worth the money! I was highly disappointed when i opened it up and saw how close the dirty and clean ports were from each other. The filter media was also a joke...

Anyways, i modified it a bit with a 1/2 copper pipe and jb weld. BEWARE that copper and steel are incompatible! One or the other will start to rust. This is temporary until i can source some steel pipe. Probably from home depot.

I ended up with extra fuel line. Come smog time ill attach the piece of pcv pipe i cut off back

Why would you have to revert back at smog check time? It's a closed system, doesn't vent to atmosphere.

Because California. Nothing can be modified unless it's carb approved.

I added one stainless scrub pad to mine as-is and never gave it a second thought. I like this idea. I consistently catch 3 ounces per 5K miles, so I'll leave space for that amount in the reservoir and fill the rest with more filter media (scrub pads).

22mpg?! How the hell did you manage that?
hybird could do 40MPG pure highway... amusing flat land like Florida

I gotten as high as 39.9mpg here in the city it's as flat as florida around town 36MPG is typical in the city. assuming it's more then a few mile drive ( going to the store cost more because of having to warm the engine and that waste a lot of gas fast) so if i'm going to the next city over i can get 36 to 39MPG) not too bad for a hippo suv(as i can keep it in V4 mode for extended periods using the High octane fuel)
