Long story short but our 18 Yukon XL went down with a bad lifter back in December an eventually needed a whole new engine. The truck was out of commission for over 3 months (In the time we needed it the most). For two of the three months GM provided us with a Suburban rental (through Enterprise). Once to got the truck back with a full talk of gas from Reno (Now Corwin) GMC in Reno we were contacted by GM asking what can be done for our inconvenience, they asked about covering the payments while the truck was down or prepaid maintenance, I suggested that we remove any confidence concerns I might have with the truck and requested the 4/48 Platinum warranty. If something goes wrong in the next 48K miles, I am covered, if all is perfect, they really arent out anything. They agreed.
From someone who spent over two decades working in dealerships, this was one of the best dealer/manufacturer experiences I have ever had. Both the dealer, service manager and GM were great. GM and GMC, you earned my loyalty.
