GMC Yukon XL 2500 pricing?

Hey everyone,
I found a mint condition 2003 GMC Yukon XL 2500 4x4 with the 8.1L motor with only 60k miles on it. The dealer is asking $34k. This seems about 10k too high to me (maybe even 15k too high). My 1500 Yukon has been so great to me, that I wouldn't mind paying good money for a 3/4T 2003 model assuming it'll give me ~200k trouble free miles but I don't want to be bent over a barrel, either.

Am I out of touch on the market, or is this vehicle priced WAY too high?

The used car market right now is insane. I'm fairly sure I could get $10k more for my Silverado than I paid for it, just over a year ago. That said, if this is what you want -- and you can afford it -- that is likely the price you are going to have to pay. When i was looking for a truck, I found a 2005 Silverado Extended cab 1500 with 78k miles on it, but the dealer was asking $17.5k for it -- and would not come down. In the mean time, I found a 2004 Silverado Crew Cab 2500 with 75k miles on it, and the person selling it only wanted $13.5k. I bought more truck for less money. Not saying you will be able to do that, but patience may or may not pay off for you.

Yes, the vehicle market is insane right now due to supply chain issues preventing manufacturers from producing new vehicles at full capacity, and of course this has rolled down to impact the used car market.

I'm open to the idea of buying a new (to me) vehicle, even though my Yukon is still 100% serving it's purpose. My wife and I have three sons and we could use a suburban sized vehicle, so when this Yukon XL came up I started salivating a bit because I love the idea of a 3/4T four wheel drive, and the huge 8.1 motor just makes me giggle. I don't commute anymore, so the gas mileage wouldn't bother me.

It's been for sale since early August, so maybe I'll call this week and see if I can't haggle a bit.

Def seems high, but seeing one of those in mint condition (thinking it has to be for that price) and that low of miles it’s gotta sell for Atleast $15,000 + to start. I would hope for 30 grand + its fully loaded to the T!

I don't think that truck work over $10k cash. I understand supply is not good right now but buying a car is already a terrible investment, let alone at that cost. Even if he can afford.
