on december 30th, i placed an order for $930 worth of parts, so i could complete my dod delete work. prior to ordering, i inquired about the estimated lead time for these parts, and i was told 4-5 business days for special order parts to arrive from gm before they are aggregated and shipped to me from NC (i'm in FL).
after checking order status several times, i saw that all the parts were marked "in stock", except for the vacuum pump and valve springs as of start of last week, monday january 13th. come friday january 17th, i felt it was time to follow up about the status of the order. i emailed and called, and got a prompt email reply claiming that "Your full order is set to ship today.". i figured that meant the order had shipped last friday.
now that it's almost the end of the business day on the 23rd, i followed up to confirm that the order was indeed shipped per the claim and get a tracking number. after getting "stan lee" over chat, i was told "I have informed the team . You will receive an update soon via email", so he couldn't/wouldn't/didn't give any insight into what was going on with the order. when i pressed for how long it should take to get a response, he said "You will receive an update within 24-48 business hours via email", which is ridiculous.
i am now at the end of business day *17* from placing the order, with no information about the order status. i am posting this here because i expect many people on this forum either have ordered from here or may consider ordering engine parts from here in the future. should i cancel this order and charge the vendor back? this is the most clownish experience i have had with an online vendor that i can recall in at least the past 15 years.
if i can't get these parts from this vendor, i'm going to be out quite a bit more money for the rental that my wife has been driving this whole time.
i apologize if this is posted in the wrong place, but i figured it was appropriate based on my having ordered parts for a 2020 tahoe engine from this site.
thanks for reading!
