I kind of want to change the Tahoe up a little this coming summer. I do like the current way it is but want something different. It looks like my sig but the front is more level with the rear now. I know my wife will be driving it somemore now so that is why I am thinking of this. Here are my options.

Plan A

Get a Rough Country 3.5" kit and run my current wheels and tires. This is just to give it a little more lift.

Plan B

Lower it 1/2 if available or 2/3. Than sell current wheels and tires and get a pair of OEM Silverado LTZ or Sierra 20 wheels and run a set of stock size Cooper LTZ or Nitto Terra Grapplers so I can run this set up all year round.

Plan C

Just leave it the way it is!!

I am thinking of plan B because it I would hope this would give me a little better MPG and a little better ride.

What is your opinion?

I as well would go with PLAN B. Personally, I like the looks of the Tahoe/Yukon low better then high.

Good luck and keep us posted.

its a 4x4 so up higher

That is what I always thought. But I want to have it so it hugs the road better. I was mess around to day and notice it is soo top heavy and it would have alot of body roll. Also was crusing on the freeway and it was windy and it was getting blown around alot.

I was thinking plan B with just maybe a 2" rear kit and maybe a 1" front. That way it will have a better center of gravity and ride a little better.

I did the rear 2" inch drop with the Belltech Kit as well as Belltech Shocks, front and back and I will say that the ride improved considerably. I also think the truck looks A LOT Better that way, but it is still not really "lowered", as mine is a 4x4 as well.

I like it and I am sure you will as well.

But hey, do what you like, I am sure it will look great either way.

IMO, raising the truck with a lift kit while keeping the stock wheels and tires will look like crap.

I say lower it.

Well I don't have stock wheels and tires on it with the lift. I will be running the 285/70/17 BFG's on my 17x8 MB Gunner 6 wheels. Well I take that back I currently do have te stock wheels and 265 bfg at tires on it for winter months and summer months I run my aftermarket set.
