There should only be one idler arm bracket. No matter what use moog parts as they have improved on the oem designs.

Just curious - are you trying to resolve an issue or are you just bored?

Steering system is.
Tie rods. Inner and outer both sides. So 2 each. Tie rod sleeves. (part that inner and outer screw into) 1 for each side.

Center link/drag link. It is non wear but they can, just not real common.

Idler arm (get the entire thing bracket and all)
Pitman arm.

Gearbox
Rag joint

The steering colum really isn't a wear part, but can wear the bearings and cause issues.

The pitman arm puller is awesome, by far the best tool to have for this.
Really all you need.
Tie rods because you don't care about them, you can use a pickle fork, or even smack the spindle/hub to break them loose.

Wouldn't be bad to do ball joints too, but if your going to do all that how do the control arm bushings and sway bar bushings/end links look? Bushings are not an easy job, and time consuming.
Control arms on the other hand are not bad, if you have a 4wd you cannot buy the lower arm.
Either way you will need an alignment.

Thanks for the detailed response. I didn't think about control arms and the ball joints are fine. Just doing this because my steering is badly loose and one of the tie rod ends is shot the dust boot is gone and you can move the joint by hand with very little effort. You can just tap it and it will move. So i figure with 190,000 it's def a good idea to replace all this.

So will that puller I showed in my op work for all of this or do i need a different one?

thanks

Oh i thought there was 2 of those brackets this is a 4x4 not sure if that matters. And yes I plan on using Moog parts.

Just one idler arm bracket and the idler arm. Then the pitman arm and inner tie rods. That will fill all four holes on the center link.

Sorry. What I meant was that most people say what's wrong and then ask for advice on how to fix it. You're like a poker player going all in, replacing everything when it may be a single part that's faulty.

I meant it jokingly.

Most people would replace the wearable steering components if they are original and have 180k+ on them. I noticed one tie rod end was bad so why not do them all and not have to worry about it? After you replace the one you know very well the others are soon to go. Makes perfect sense what I'm doing.

I don't mess around and wait for steering or brake parts to fail completely. I'm not going to risk my life on the road to save a few bucks.
