What type of grease you use also has an effect on how much it leaks. I notice more sweat from red grease vs a thick moly lithium grease for example. This will also vary some brand of brand.

Y'all with your fancy grease guns are wild. I just go grab the cheapie pistol grip jobber from Rural King.

I use red anywhere I expect to see water - slip yokes are a good example. Moly lithium most other places such as ball joints, wheel bearings, etc. Cheap grease anywhere frequently serviced, anywhere I apply by hand such as when used for an anti-corrosive, to lube seals as an assembly aid, etc. At the end of the day, any grease is better than no fresh grease.

My Alemite guns are 30+ years old and always work. They sweat and drip a little if stored too hot such as back of truck with shell in summer. I have a bucket with funnel, cartridges, and different tips for 3 guns.
I have to agree that Alemite makes quality products and customer service is exceptional.
