Good performance tires that don’t wear a lot?

they work very well for me, I do not have a supercharger (yet) but the only catch is they only make them up to a 20" so if you are running 22's then you will need something else, maybe some pirelli's? maybe @randeez has some input on tires

I think I never found them in 22's because I was looking at V speed rating versus H, I don't exceed 130 often but no worries when I do, seems to be more concern with the driveline for some people I have never had a issue-yet

im using 4 drag radials on 22 at the moment so prob not the right person to ask lol

ive never had much luck with tires lasting as long as advertised, the old nitto 420s were ok for about 20k miles had plenty of tread just got noisy - that line was replaced with 420V i think - but i wouldnt expect more than 35k out of them.

continentals are usually my go to ive had the best luck with keeping them balanced and quiet on other cars for 40k+ miles.

<<< this has some hankooks ventus(?) on it traction sucks with TC and stabilitrac off. it will prob get same nitto drag radials on the back of it when its ready for new tires. dont daily or really plan on driving when rainy.

pirellis ive had soso experience, didnt last long and theyre expensive

michilins are getting to be $$ lately but tires are consistent and good from what ive seen.

the GY eagles are always solid, dont know about higher hp traction tho.

I'll throw my 2 pennies in and suggest the Yokohama Parada Spec-X.

Agree with Randeez on the Nitto 420's. I've had both versions, the now discontinued S and the new V. I liked the S version. Wish I could still find them. The nearly new V version currently on my Escalade is noisy AF.

The 2 or 3 guys that I know that have boosted pickups and SUVs use the Lexani LX-Thirty tire. I suspect mainly because they are cheap and plentiful.

The Yokohamas look very sporty from what I’m reading now. They look like they would give me the traction I need. How is the tread life on them? Btw thanks for all the advice everyone

I drive my '15i very aggressively and have been super impressed with the Defender LTX's. 1 year and 28K later and they look and feel new.

I believe it is a tradeoff between the traction of the rubber compounds in the tires and the longevity. Softer, stickier tires grab better but don't last as long. I would rather have good traction, if it is a choice. The tires list the traction ratings based upon the rubber compounds in them. I Have been using Michelins.

If you want good traction and handling your tires are going to wear, if I run hard rubber on my ZR1's or porsche's they just are not going to handle that well I have a 2019 Callaway Tahoe, that will roast the tires from a standing punch of the throttle, tried many tires, the tire that gave me the best traction and handling, yes a lowered Tahoe can almost handle, is the Michelin Premier LTX, I did not and do not care how long they last, I wanted the best traction and handling, the longest lasting tire is the stock Bridgestone, just doesn't handle good.

The Michelin Defender LTX is really the only tire option for these trucks. They're expensive but no other tire will give you traction, handling, performance, and longish life.
