Well the deed is finally done i have been wanting to lower this truck for 3 years since i inherited it from my dad who passed away christmas day several years ago so i contacted tony and got everything headed this way.... Complete front end rebuild at 140,000 miles to include ball joints tie rods pitman and idler arm power steering pump, gear box and intermediate shaft. Truck had some clicking and clacking in the front end so i replaced it all but after the rebuild i was noticing a creaking noise coming from the rear and suspected the springs so i contacted tony and he suggested i try a piece of heater hose slit down the middle and placed in the spring where the dead and active spring meets so going one step better i removed both springs after marking the dead/active spring location then threaded 2' of 5/8" heater hose on each spring that fit like a glove but had to hose them down with wd-40 to provide some "slip"..... Reinstalled springs and clocked over 200 miles on the odometer, not one single chirp from those belltech springs.... Im a happy guy now

Update on the heater hose mod: after a week or two of riding around letting the suspension settle and after all the oils and wd40 has washed off i started noticing a little bit of creaking and noise coming back from the rear of the truck, not as bad as it was previously but still annoying when you have ocd and want complete silence so im back to the auto parts store for roughly 16' of 5/8" heater hose where i soaked it down with wd40 to aide in the installation then threaded 8' of hose on to each spring to completely wrap the spring from top to bottom as i noticed parts of the spring not previously protected had rubbing marks on them then i reinstalled the springs and so far its dead quiet out back. I will update in a few weeks once all is settled.... I should also note that i had to remove my 1" spacer as i did pick up a slight amount of lift in the spring due to the hose being wrapped around all the coils, this might change as everything settles and if so then i will reinstall the spacer to maintain my desired rake

All you need to do is
Make sure top and bottom coil are covered where touches frame/axle
And
Where dead coils touch live coils at ride height cover that area

Also if shock extenders are not fully tightened will squeak and make sure shock bolts snug

I have to do this as well. How has it been holding up since its been at least 6+ weeks since the heater hose has been applied?
