^ i ran into a place thwt manufacturers foam.
They have big scrap bins, they were more than happy to sell me some scrap blocks at a significant discount.

I also learned they take their scrap foam, and sell to the company here in utah that sells those gigantic bean bag chairs.

Styrofoam? Whatcha gonna do with that?

What's the overall diameter of the 1/0 cable and jacket (without the shrink or braided sleeve)? Wondering if my small DC amp probe would fully close around it, it's a 1/2" opening.

It's definitely larger than 1/2". I think the copper alone is about a 1/2". Lemme grab my caliper and give you some hard numbers...

*EDIT*
Correction: I was thinking of the 2/0 I was originally gonna use for this, but am reserving that for the golf carts. The OD of this particular brand of 1/0 cable and jacket is .530".

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll have to grab my caliper and do some research.

Lol!
foam as in like pillows, camping pads, Swedish mattresses, etc.

Did a boat restore a few years back.
I needed to replace some 50 year old foam cushions in the cabin.
:D

I was a weirdo in jr high and took homec.
Learned how to use a sewing machine.

That turned out to be exta helpful for that little project oh so many years later.

Hmmm. I need some dense seat cushion foam for one of the golf carts. I'll have to hit up an upholstery shop for some scraps.
