I'm working on a friend's 07 tahoe with the 5.3 and I took off the vlom to inspect it and removed the solenoids to inspect the passageways but in doing so I snapped the plastic running to the furthest solenoid from the electrical connector. Can I run jumper wires to the solenoid to fix it or could I buy that part specifically or am I just going to have to go to a junk yard to get this part? $300 for a new vlom is too much for my friend atm.

hopefully a Moderator can move your thread to the proper GMT900 section you're posted in the 200-2006 section...

good luck with your 2007 repair

Is AFM still active? If so pretty sure you can just rig it and go. If AFM is turned off, just leave it as none of that stuff is working anymore.

Whatever you do, make sure the towers seal to the VLOM so oil pressure isn't bled off and he gets low oil pressure light.
