Yeah I had 40k into that bike in just parts and the cost of the bike, not including all my labor to build it. And it was all wiped out in a second. The driver of the car was suspended with no insurance, but I fought and got 42k for the bike through my insurance but was out of work for a year and only got 50k in medical and lost wages.

Most were aftermarket. I tore almost all the Harley parts off it except the engine and frame. The front wheel (26”) was over $4000 by itself.That's another thing. Those Harley parts are expensive. You own a Tahoe/Yukon you see expensive parts at the dealer. The mark up on Harley parts has the dealer beat.
WOW! $4000 for one wheel. Without the tire? Just the wheel? If it bolts to a Harley, all the parts can be expensive.
Well my question is if you have nothing against Harleys why not own one? There’s nothing like the sound and what you can do to one.Here’s one of the ones I built. Can’t build a Honda like this. The sound system was loud enough to listen comfortably cruising down the highway.
