No suspension lights feels mushy wallows a bit...it had 20's on it I went to 17 with larger tire...( Had these on my 17 Silverado with no issues) What should I check for ? Yes it has air suspension and yes it has brand new and functional air pump...also front end feels a bit clunky when suspension reach top extension...

When you changed to 17's, did you get tires that were the same height as your 20's? If so, there is a lot more sidewall, which gives a lot more flex in the tire. Narrow sidewalls, like on your 20's, made for a stiffer ride. I would not think it would feel mushy, though it might if you are someone who is really aware of how the car feels in all situations. Other than that, the shocks could be wearing out, even though they are holding air well.

How tall of a spacer?

I feel like the 2" lift is about as high as you want to go. (with Z71 suspension)
I tried 2.5", didn't feel good. Bottoms out on full extension too easy.
I went to 1.5"..

Might need an alignment as well.
