...And I'm not sure what to use on it to buff it out.
I've used that PlastiX solution on some glossy interior trim pieces (specifically on the faux-wood trim) on my '09 Tahoe, and it did a great job of getting scratches out of that. But, you couldn't really tell whether it added fine scratches to those pieces -- and since I'm looking to get a scratch out of an exterior piece where the sun will highlight imperfections, I'm not sure whether it's appropriate for this circumstance.
