Hawk LTS pads eat rotors

I'm running Hawk Performance HB561F.710 HPS Performance Ceramic Brake Pad and haven't had any issues. No noise, a little dust, no fade (I haven't towed, but had the Tahoe full of people and luggage with no issues and have been down a few 2 lane mountain roads with no problems), and my rotors still look new (r1 rotors).

I haven't found any reviews yet about noise issues. They are dusty, but then they are an old school semi-metallic. I can live with dust for no fade and good performance cold.

I read that this is the same basic compound as the Stoptech Street Performance pad.

If I do go with them I'll report back.

I just talked to one of the engineers at Centric. His recommendation was to stay away from the 306 compound Fleet pad for any street use. It's formulated for police cars, fleet trucks etc where noise and life aren't a big concern. His thought was that they'd be as noisy as the Hawk LTS pads I'm replacing and would be harder on rotors.

His recommendation was the 106 compound pad- the Centric PosiQuiet Extended Wear pads that offer comparable hot stopping power at the Fleet, but with less noise and rotor wear.

These are different from the 104 compound SemiMetallic or the 105 compound Ceramic pads that are the traditional pads used in cars and SUV's. The 106 is a heavier duty pad without the severe duty of the Fleet. I'm going to order mine from TireRack today.
