$50 is a score. I got mine for $40 and you can see it on my sig pic. Rat rod look. Definitely investigate the corrosion factor, figuring that it is off a 2001-2002 Silverado. Mine turned out to have a bit of corrosion buried underneath layers of primer and paint and a few dents once they started sanding it back, but otherwise straight to the windscreen and grill. The fender/hood gap is a little big larger than our OEM hoods, at least on mine it is, but not enough to put me off having that killer hood on.
I have gotten all my paint from automotivetouchup.com and either quarts or rattle cans in different batches have been spot on each time.
@Tonyrodz has the cost factor about right depending on how well your relationship is with the painters. Make sure they shoot the entire hood, even on the inside. For me it was worth it to have the entire unit painted and looking good, even though it is covered by the heat pad (these are not made anymore if you have it, clean it, paint it and put it back in there).
Look forward to seeing it mounted.
