What is the difference between "shorties" headers and long tube headers? (performance wise)

Short headers tend to give more torque and throttle response whereas long headers give you more top end if i remember correctly

I say go longtube or nothing. youll be happier in the end and doing it once. With the aftermarket ypipe and long tubes will make a great addition in power.

youll probably then have a custom shop bend and make the ypipe. you dont need cats at the ypipe you can them further down the stream btw

Not gonna happen. Getting long tubes w a y-pipe installed is tight enough. Never gonna get cats in there too. Depending on where you live for smog purposes having cats in a non-oem position can be reason for failure.

does anybody have any dyno graphs from shorty and longtube HP/TQ gains? It would be nice to see if the longtubes are worth the extra money for a mostly stock engine.
