Headlight Adjusting Screws and Related Parts

Hey All.
I'm in need of the headlight adjusting mechanisms for my 03 Tahoe (looks to be the same as my 06 as well).
The plastic inserts have split and the threads stripped. Some worse than others.
Looking online at the parts I think I need and I'm informed that they are not compatible with the Tahoe.
Does anybody have a link to the right bits and pieces?

Seems you need to be looking for part number 16524772. Take those "fitment guides" on various sites like Amazon and Autozone with a grain of salt. They're often wrong.

I have about a 1/2 dozen headlight frames -- the plastic ones -- for GMT800s I acquired when I bought someone out. I didn't think that was what you were looking for, which is why I refrained from chiming in.

Here's the thing I've found in my research.
I can buy a single headlight adjusting mechanism as posted above for about 80 bucks each. Two required per side.
Or I can buy an entire headlight assembly, with both adjusters for less than a hundred.
Am I missing something?

Could be that aftermarket headlights have a different design of the adjusters, so you may need to use the whole assembly. (If you were thinking of swapping the adjusters over.)

just go out to the local junkyard and grab some they can be found on practically any broken housing, they can be removed and should only be a few bucks at best
and yukon, tahoe, suburban, silverado, sierra, avalanche should all be the same adjuster for gmt800's

That very well could be. And interestingly, the places that sell the assemblies don't appear to sell the adjusters.

The part in the picture is 90 bucks CAD. Can't tell if it's complete with adjusters though. But I suspect it is.

The pick-a-parts here are few and far between (like one within 40 miles). And the pickings are slim at best as trucks are very much the dominate vehicles on the road.
Try buying a used Tahoe up here lately! The value of my two beaters (03 and 06) have doubled in the last two years!

you can buy old ratty looking used headlights on ebay for cheap as well with adjusters on them
