My bad y’all I was doing this on my break so I was in panic mode thinking I broke something but it’s all good. Turns out it’s just part of the blower motor and it only snapped on one area so I was able to glue it back on.

But just an update while I’m here, I tested the blower motor on the battery still works… So grabbing a multimeter and I’m gonna check the connections and go from there

that little duct on the side of it is a cooling duct, the air blows into the blower motor from the airbox to keep the motor cooled, other blower motors are self-cooling and do not use the duct. just depends on the vehicle I have pulled the motors from the junkyard with the duct and others without it (self-cooling)
the resistor is right there to the left, has 2 screws they are either 5.5mm or 7mm. the power connector to the blower motor comes from the resistor.
voltage may show less than 12v at the connector depending on the fan speed setting on the main control, if you turn it up to high it should show pretty much 12v

if the resistor has failed it will be the 1st one I have seen on the gmt900's they made them pretty beefy compared to the gmt800's which failed often.
Yep it was the resistor. Apparently it happens a lot. I see a lot of videos on YouTube.

for the gmt800's yes, yours is the 1st one I have seen on this forum for the gmt900's
My old one was pretty corroded. Probably from when I left my sunroof open in a rainstorm when I first got it.

This all explains only the rear blower motor working… resistor being bad should not allow power to the blower motor to prevent fire right? Which was my case
